Many of our members may not realize that FCKLL has the oldest Little League in the state of Virginia, and one of the oldest in the country. The first twelve Little Leagues were all launched within Pennsylvania from 1939 to 1946. A wave of expansion from 1947 to 1948 saw growth up to 94 leagues, of which the originally named "Falls Church Little League" was formed (the Kiwanis Club became a primary sponsor in the 50s adding their namesake to our Little League name). Through the past 75 years, Little League baseball has been a constant in our community, with an estimated 20,000+ youth participating in FCKLL.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we're welcoming YOU to participate in many ways across this season.
The first opportunity is to help us design the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League 75th Logo through a contest.  

Be creative and be innovative. You can design WHATEVER you like - it just has to celebrate FCKLL’s 75 anniversary (1948 – 2023) and your love for baseball!  The logo will be used on promotional materials, jerseys and merchandise throughout the 75th anniversary year.

The Prizes:

Winning logo: $100 Visa gift card, plus the admiration of our league
Second place: $25 Visa gift card

The small print: 

1. This competition is open to anyone in the FCKLL family to include: current players, future players, alumni, parents, caregivers and fans. 

2. One entry per person. 

3. Entries can be hand drawn, painted or computer designed. 

4. The logo must be easy to use, handle, resize, and manipulate for all reproduction purposes. It should be visually appealing on both small and large scales.

5. All entrants affirm their submissions are their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and do not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.

6. For any applicant under the age of 18, parent/caregiver permission must be given before entering and will need to be indicated on the entry form, along with their email address. 

7. All entries must be received by between November 14, 2022 and midnight, December 2, 2022. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. 

8. Designs will be uploaded using the online form. 

9. FCKLL reserves the right to use any of the entries submitted into the competition for promotional purposes. 

10. Copyright of entries will remain with the entrant but the entrant licenses FCKLL to use images of entries online and in print, in perpetuity. 

11. The winning logo will be used by FCKLL for the foreseeable future after the competition winner is announced. 

12. FCKLL may wish to photograph the winner and their logo for media purposes. 

13. The competition will be judged by the community via an online voting tool. The FCKLL Board of Directors will approve the voting results and the decision will be final. 

14. FCKLL will contact the winner after the competition closes. 

15. If the winner is determined to have violated any rules, he/she will be required to forfeit or return the prize, even if the determination is made after the prize has been awarded.
