What Happens Next?
Please plan to attend as many Group Practices as possible, for your level. This is a good chance to knock the rust off, and serves as an opportunity for Managers to get to know players prior to forming equal teams. The schedule is as follows, no RSVP required:
Majors: 5:30 PM on 8/24, 8/29 and 8/31, 10AM on 8/27
AAA: 5:30 PM on 8/25, 8/30 and 9/1, 1PM on 8/27
AA: 5:45 PM on 8/25, 8/30 and 9/1, 1PM on 8/27
Single A: 5:45 PM on 8/24, 8/29 and 8/31, 10AM on 8/27
Majors and AAA are all at Westgate 1; this is the lower grass field behind Westgate Elementary.
AA and A are all at Westgate 2; this is the upper turf field behind Westgate Elementary.
No group practices for Tee Ball, Intermediate, or Challengers.
Then What?
Teams are formed at the conclusion of Group Practices. You will hear from your coach over Labor Day weekend. AA and AAA will begin team practice Tuesday, 9/6; Single A and Majors will begin team practice on Wednesday, 9/7. (Tee ball starts a few days later.)
Fall follows the same general weekly schedule as Spring:
· Single A and Majors on Mon/Wed/Sat
· AA and AAA on Tues/Thurs/Sat
· Tee Ball one weeknight & Saturday
· Challengers on Saturday
· Intermediate varies
· The season wraps on October 29
What Do I Need?
All players should bring a glove and a water bottle to every event. Players are welcome to bring their own bats, batting helmets, catchers gear, etc., but this is not required. The League will distribute game jerseys, pants, socks, and hats, prior to the start of game play. Wear pants vs. shorts to practice, and male players need an athletic cup, particularly at AA+.
