Registration Continues through Feb 8 + Tee Clinic

Registration continues through February 18 at www.fckll.org. More details about levels of play and assessments below – please review carefully and note the registration deadline of February 18.

Tee Ball: This week we’d like to highlight the three-session tee ball clinic which precedes the season in March – brand new tee ballers are encouraged (but not required) to register for this in addition to their season registration, on www.fckll.org. Please direct all Tee Ball Qs to [email protected].

Sponsors: We have a big financial goal for our 2022 sponsorship drive! Want to see your company’s name on a jersey or field banner? Visit our Sponsorships page or contact [email protected] for details.

Volunteers: THANK YOU to all who have raised their hands to support us in various ways, especially with the new Field Captain maintenance model which will save us nearly 20% in annual operating costs. More info on available Volunteer roles below.

COVID Safety: We have completed three safe and successful seasons since the start of the pandemic, and our commitment to safety has not changed. We are monitoring COVID developments and will continue to enforce protocols in line with CDC, state, and local guidelines. You can expect more info on this as the season approaches.

Calendar Preview: You will hear from us weekly throughout registration and the pre-season. Opening Day is March 26 and we are hoping to return to our traditional parade and other festivities.

For all you planners out there: Assessments are in early March, teams are formed in mid-March, and practices begin the week of March 19. Our older levels begin game play following Opening Day Ceremonies on March 26; Challengers, Tee Ball, and Single A get an extra week of practice and begin games on April 2. We will not have a full week off for Spring Break, as local districts have different Spring Breaks this year, but don’t worry if you need to miss a week for some fun in the sun. Please note that games will not be played on April 16. The season ends in early June.

Have a great weekend – stay safe and warm!

ASSESSMENTS AND LEVELS OF PLAY:

We’ve received a few inquiries about what level is appropriate for players. The system is set up to offer you the level(s) for which your player is eligible, based on age and experience.

All players League Age 8+ (born before 9/1/14), other than those who already played a Spring at Majors, must attend assessments. This is where League officials take a look at each player’s skills to slot them in the level where they will be safe and successful. There are no cuts – everyone makes a team – but this is a very important part of the process. Assessments will likely be held at the Westgate Turf the first two weekends in March.

Unsure which division is right for your player? Review our divisions-at-a-glance here before registering. This page has loads of good info about our levels of play; please check it out. Still have questions? Ask [email protected]

VOLUNTEER INFO:

All volunteers are required by Little League International to submit info for an annual online background check. Please be sure you add yourself as a Volunteer when you register your player(s). If you have trouble with this step or are unsure if your background check is current, please contact [email protected].

Field Captains are needed to adopt fields for the season. If you are interested in the oddly satisfying work of keeping an assigned field game-ready, contact [email protected]

Interested in coaching? Please let your Level Coordinator know that you are interested in coaching (as well as indicating this during Registration). If you are not sure what Level you want to coach, or who the appropriate Coordinator is, please contact [email protected]
