News and Notes since Championship Saturday:
The AA & AAA Select Games were a blast last weekend. Thanks to all players and Managers who put this special finishing touch on our spring season.
All Star Season is well underway. We’ve hosted four games in the last six days and it has been a ton of fun. Music, friends, snack bar, and yes, baseball! The upcoming schedule is as follows, so please make plans to come out, especially at home on Monday night:
- Tomorrow, Saturday June 26, Red Team (Coach Pipia, age 8-9-10) vs. Reston at Reston Green Park, 10am
- Sunday, June 27, Blue Team (Coach Herlands, age 9-10-11) vs. Vienna at Crabtree Park, 4pm
- Monday, June 28, Red vs. McLean American at Westgate, 7pm
- Wednesday, June 30, Red vs. McLean National at McLean 2, 7pm
The White (Majors) All Star team is in daily practice mode now, and begins pool play after the 4th of July. Stay tuned for more All Star updates.
Last but not least, the Nats free ticket game is back!!! This is truly an awesome opportunity, brought to us by our partners at the Washington Nationals. Mark your calendar to be at Nats Park on Sunday, July 18. Please visit this site for details on where to report, what to wear, who is eligible, current park guidelines, and more.
